The Most Threatened Historic Places Exhibitdebuted a year ago at the New Hanover County Library and is back again for 2013-2014. The exhibit highlights the region’s most threatened historic places, and illustrates the importance of historic preservation within our community. The exhibit will appear in the libraries of New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick Counties. The schedule for the exhibit is as follows:

Tar Heels Go Walking

A Partnership with New Hanover Country Schools since 2009, Historic Wilmington Foundation celebrates its 5th year and the guides who have delivered over 280 tours to more than 12,000 third graders, 1,000 parents, and 500 teachers. The tour educates students about historic preservation, public art, and Wilmington history and development.

Tar Heels Go Walking received a Gertrude S. Carraway Award of Merit for outstanding achievement from Preservation North Carolina in 2010.
